What is Oud?
Oud is a rare and expensive resinous wood that comes from the tropical agarwood tree, also known as aloeswood or gharuwood. The Arabic word oud means "wood", and the tree is native to parts of Southeast Asia, such as Cambodia and Bangladesh.
Why is Oud unique?
Oud is highly valued by perfumers for its unique, complex aroma, which can vary depending on the tree's age, origin, and climate. Some say it has a sweet, woodsy smell with notes of animalic, smoky, woody, elegant, warm, and mysterious, while others describe it as having earthy notes and an intriguing character.
How is this product collagen rich?
Because all of Lillie Mae’s products are vegan, we use sea buckthorn and bamboo oil as collagen supplements.
Where do we source our oud.
To ensure oud authenticity, we source argarwood from Vietnam. We independently remove resins to produce raw oud oil.
